Ottawa’s Night lovell dropped his second project, Red Teenage Melody, back in June, expanding upon the sounds of his impressive Concept Vague mixtape. Featuring more varied production, even bigger hooks, and more refined verses, it’s clear that Lovell is destined to be a star. Red Teenage Melody is full of obvious highlights, and today Lovell is revisiting one of the album’s brightest moments with the video for the Blank Body-produced “Contraband.”
Sporting a wide grin and a denim jacket, Lovell and his friends hang around what looks like a decommissioned or out of season ski resort. The insane amount of fun Lovell seems to be having in the video is certainly infectious, especially with all the shots of him looking ridiculously pleased with himself. Considering the quality of Red Teenage Melody, he has every right to look as happy as he does.
