The first week of May is a MAJOR day in the fashion industry. The hottest celebrities pull out all the stops for the annual Met Gala, an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. This years theme for the gala was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” The exhibition focused on the present and future relationship between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion.
