Dallas Hip Hop has never been brighter. The past two years has seen a number of talented artists bubbling out of the Lone Star State. From Justus to G.U.N.; from Bobby Sessions to Jayson Lyric to Producer Kalbanx it’s arguable this range of incredible talent has never risen out of D-Town simultaneously. It’s more than appreciated. It’s awesome to witness.
Fat Pimp isn’t just the latest in a ridiculous string of interesting. He just may be the most well-rounded. The Dirty Water Music Group signee boasts an addictive flow and a flare for the dramatic. His latest video, Young Finesser (produced by Tim Curry) carries the gravitas of an artist with an innate ability to resonate power. It brims through his bars, smacking like a backhand from A Pimp Named Slickback. “I’ve been infatuated with the movie The God Father my entire life,” he tells HipHopDX in this exclusive premiere. “To recreate this timeless classic using Hip Hop as my platform is something I can scratch off my bucket list.”
