Shannon Allen, business woman and wife of veteran NBA player Ray Allen, has turned her families struggle into anticipated success. With a nine year old son who suffers from Type 1 diabetes, and a consistently on-the-go lifestyle, Shannon knew that she needed to create her own solution in protecting her families health. In midst of her own cooking show, The Pre-Game Meal, Shannon partnered with nutrition experts to build the grand plan for her idea.
The Allen’s teamed together to open an organic fast-food restaurant that focuses on “health-oriented cuisine” – quoted MiamiHerald.com. The fast-food restaurant, “Grown” is a breath of fresh air in the current era of suspicious meats and artificial products. Not only will they have drive through, carry-out, and grab-and-go options, but it won’t cost an arm and a leg to finally eat healthy.
“Grown” is located in South Miami at 8211 S. Dixie Hwy. Make sure it’s one of your next stops whenever you’re in the beautiful city, and share your experience. According to various reporters, Grown will be opening new locations in major cities, let’s hope Dallas will be chosen!
