Puma And Fubu Team Up For A 90’s Streetwear-Inspired Collection

By:  Ben Felderstein

It would be hard for you to have a conversation about 90’s streetwear fashion without mentioning Fubu and Puma – two titans of that period that took the hip-hop culture by storm. Fubu is honored with the distinction of being one of the first streetwear brands that brought in elements from the streets in order to turn it out and create clothing for – you guessed it – the streets. In celebration of 50 years of the Puma Suede, and 25 years of Fubu, the brands partnered up for a capsule paying tribute to both of their iconic roots.

Coming in all sizes, this Suede design takes on a black velour upper with a red velour lining that matches its piping to create an unmistakably classic aesthetic. Extra swagger dresses up the design by way of co-branded gold accents, while a commemorative Suede 50 logo can be found on its tongue. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Suede if you couldn’t choose your laces, as this design comes with black, red, and white options.

Alongside the Puma Suede is a full-scale apparel collection that honors Fubu’s classic tracksuits coming with pants, jackets, and tees, again in a size range from baby to men’s and everything in between. The entire collaborative collection will be available from Puma.com and select retailers on January 26th.
