The Kenner City, LA native recently released the third installment of his GoodSense series and has dropped a visual for one of it’s tracks, “The Return of Kyle Watson”. The Jet Life member has been going pretty hard lately with his solo endeavors, as he should be. Roddy is unfortunately one of those extremely underrated emcees.
The visuals are fairly simple but still manage to make a statement. As Roddy cooly flows over the super vibey Blair Norf production, you can’t help but notice the images of prominent black faces spray painted on the walls of the abandoned property. The Rafael Medina and Yuset Pozo directed visuals illustrate the optimism often conveyed by Roddy’s lyrics regarding his hometown and the ability to overcome one’s upbringing to achieve greatness.
