Here’s How You Can Get A Full Night’s Sleep

It is easy to get lost in the flow of work or in a good conversation that we forget the slumbers and yawns are our body calling out for sleep. But not all of us are that lucky when it comes to sleep. Some of us get too accustomed to overworking ourselves that we don’t sleep even when there’s no work.

Tossing and turning in your bed, sneaking in a midnight snack, or binge-watching a show is how we deal with sleeplessness. But to have your health in check, you need somewhere between seven and nine hours of sleep every night.

Here’s what you can do to improve things.

Limit Screen Time

Our bodies have natural sensors telling us when it is time to doze off. And that sensor is known as Melatonin, the sleep-inducing hormone. It is produced naturally in your body but is limited only when you have excessive exposure to blue light.

Now, as we all know, screens are an excellent source of blue. Although many smartphones and gadgets now come with a “Blue Light Filter” option, it’s still not enough. If you’re sitting at your desk staring at a screen all day and then doing the same in bed, you develop a deficiency of Melatonin. And that’s what makes falling asleep so hard.

You obviously cannot give up on your work and social life by cutting out gadgets, but you can reduce your exposure to them around your sleep hours. Taking at least an hour to get comfortable in your bed without any screen is going to improve your sleep. It makes falling asleep easier and also a lot of deep sleep.

Use Herbal Products

Over-the-counter sleeping pills is what all the hype is about. Insomniacs can’t seem to find a way around it, while health experts think otherwise.

Although herbal remedies may not be as instantly effective as sleeping pills, they prove to be much beneficial over time. Rosemary, Cinnamon, Chamomile, and Lemongrass are excellent choices to help you doze off quicker and deeper.

The best part is that you can get much more potent and refined herbal products online. You can even get an amazing discount with online pharmacy coupons when ordering a product. Over time, herbal products improve your body’s overall functioning without the risk of building a dependence or addiction.

Make A Sleep Schedule

Another very effective way of improving your sleep pattern is by making a schedule. According to research, it’s much better to complete your sleep in a single than in parts and naps.

Have a fixed time for going to bed every night and a fixed time for waking up. Avoid sleeping through even on the weekends to carve yourself into the routine. Once you have this fixed schedule, you’ll naturally feel sleepy when your bedtime comes near.

It takes some time to set in but is a foolproof way to guarantee quick and deep sleep in the long run.
