When you start an exercise plan, it can be really tough to stick with it. You might feel sore and then it can be easy to give up. You might just feel physically exhausted and find it hard to muster up the energy. But it is so important to stick with it. Regular exercise is so important for many, many reasons. Schedule It In

If you are new to exercising, it can be easy to justify not exercising. You might feel too busy and don’t have much time to fit it in. Plus, to start with, it won’t feel like a massive priority for you. So scheduling it in will make sure that it happens. Block out time, and it will make a difference. It is also a good idea to think about the times of the day that will make it more likely for it to happen. Are you not a morning person? If mornings are not good for you, then will exercise happen if you schedule it for then? Pick times that will work best for you to maximise the chance of it happening.

Make It Competitive

If you like a bit of competition, then it can be a fantastic motivational tool. If you have got a friend to help you, you could set each other goals. You could make it more competitive as to who gets to what target first. You could even get a group of friends together and make working out a competition. It is good to mix up cardio and strength training, with things like yoga or pilates. Then on the days that you feel tired or sore, you can do exercise that is just lower impact. Doing a variety of exercise relieves boredom too. So it is a great idea for anyone that exercises!

If you start to make an overhaul in your life, it will help you to exercise more. So take some steps to making your life more active. You could decide to walk to walk or drop the kids at school, instead of using the car. You could decide to take the stairs at work or the mall, instead of using the elevator. Small changes like this will change your mindset. This will in turn change how active you are in your day to day life.
