Dallas Native, Bredric Berry ,J.L. Turner Foundation Scholarship

Eight Law Students at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law were awarded scholarships at the 2016 J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation 64th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala. Bredric Berry, was the only First-Year Law Student (1L) to receive honors during the ceremony.

Bredric Berry is a native of Dallas, Texas. As an Alumni of the University of North Texas, Mr. Berry began a career in Accounting which led him to create UsAlone Studios, LLC. UsAlone is a brand management and production company home to a host of millennial creatives. Currently, Mr. Berry is focused on establishing a strong foundation in corporate business and entertainment law at Thurgood. We can expect bright things in his future!

The J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation was established in 1996 to improve the quality of life in the African American community through education, service, and scholarship. The 2016 Award Recipients represented from Thurgood Marshall include: Marshaun Williams (2L), Bredric Berry (1L), Cherika Edwards (2L), Kelechi Onwumere (Shakila Miller (3L-np), Jasmine Thompson (2L – np), Ari Wells (2L -np).
