Why God say Do Not Worry

By : A. D.

When I was a child it seems as if there wasn’t a care in the world but now that I’m all grown up there are so many decisions to make and so much life to deal with on a daily basis.  If you lose your focus, some things can appear downright scary.  I know someone who’s concerned about their surgery, another lost his job, someone else needs a job, there’s not enough money to pay my rent or which bill will go unpaid until I get my next paycheck.  Will I be successful at the next grade level or is going off to college really the best thing for me?  Who shall I date or is it time to settle down and get married?  Am I overweight or do I have a health issues that might kill me?  Do I have enough money to retire?  And on and on and on.

So many things to worry about.

We toss and turn all night worrying about the cares of this world.  However we often worry about things that we don’t have a solution for or we will worry about situations that will never happen.  The best thing to do is just deal with the cares of life for today because tomorrow will eventually come and if God allows you to wake up, He will give you the strength and grace to deal with anything you face.  Matthew 6:31-34 tells us not to worry about the future because God knows what we need each day and there is enough to be concerned about as you go throughout the day without worrying about what might happen tomorrow even before it gets here.
