WHAT UP! WHAT UP! WHAT UP! It’s your boy ET! Look, I miss the good ol’ days. The days when you could look someone in the eye and shake their hand and say, “You have my word..” Back then your word meant everything. It took me a while to get used to contracts, because my contract was my word. If I promised you something, you better believe i’d execute that promise.
There are so many of you who go into the job interview and promise to give your all. You promise that client your company will exceed their expectations, but then something happens. You don’t like your supervisor, or a co-worker doesn’t respect you. That dream client turns out to be very difficult. What do you do? You give an average effort. You come up with excuses. You’re late with deadlines. You go against your WORD. You may be saying to yourself, “ET i’m going to have a bad day sometimes.” Yes you will, but you still must execute and not make it personal. I’ve used this saying many times–PRINCIPLE over FEELINGS. We must always remember when we promise someone anything we must execute. Even if we don’t make a promise, you want your reputation and character to be known as the person who always follow through. It’s not easy, but I know you can do it.
