Success May Require Rerouting

By: A. D.

Last week I was using my GPS to go to this meeting, but somehow I got distracted and missed my turn.  Just before frustration kicked in, I glanced down at my phone and saw the words, REROUTING.  It didn’t take long before I was back on track and finally I heard that voice say, your destination is on the right.  I made it.  Even though we are equipped with GPS now, many of us go through life not realizing we’re on the wrong road, doing the wrong things, wasting precious time and being unproductive.  In other words a person can be on the wrong road, lost and not even realize it.

Today, Examine Yourself. Make sure you’re not wasting money, gas and time traveling down the wrong road.  There is a life changing story in ACTS 9:1-29 about a man named Saul (name later changed to Paul) who had been on the wrong road in life, thinking he was doing God’s will only to meet Jesus on the Damascus road, get knocked off his beast, blinded and put in time out.  He went through some tough life lessons but Saul eventually learned he was really lost and these hard knocks were a REROUTING process God was using to put him on the right road. He yielded his life to Christ and he became the greatest witness of Jesus Christ.  He wrote the majority of the New Testament and we can read about his great works for God on his missionary journeys.

Great things began to happen for Paul when he got on the right road, even a name change.  So make sure you’re going in the right direction and if you’re not don’t reject the rerouting process. Also, check your road map daily (Holy Bible), stay connected to our God up above, and if you get off track remember I John 1:9.  God is Faithful!
