Serial Entrepreneurs Brandon Miller and Simone Moreland are on a mission to inspire and empower their generation to live life on their own terms, to pursue their passion, and to embrace what makes them great. Miller’s “Be Great Brand” and Moreland’s “Mindshift Material” collaborated to co-author their first book intended to spark radical change within the millennial generation.
The book, The Intersection: Shifting into Greatness, goal is to inspire the masses to create their reality by highlighting those living on their terms. Miller and Moreland spent the last year interviewing over 30 minority millennials from across the country who own businesses, are spearheading groundbreaking initiatives, and creatively telling beautiful stories; all with the purpose of highlighting their Intersection – a crossroad causing one to shift their mindset and embrace their greatness. They believe the most efficient way to make significant progress on your journey, is to learn from others’. Thus, they decided to tell a series of interviews and stories, giving practical advise, and highlighting the lessons-learned along the journey. We aim to inspire and empower our generation of entrepreneurs, creatives, and change agents.
The authors’ goal is to help shine light on the exceptional, millennial creators, entrepreneurs, and community activists of color that have taken the reigns to make their dreams a reality. Between interviews, Miller and Moreland have curated “Intersects” which are relevant topics related to building your brand, embracing a winner’s mindset, knowing your why, and much more.
In addition to the book, Brandon and Simone are adamant about not only ‘talking the talk’ but ‘walking the walk,’ so they created The Intersection Journal. The journal is a companion to the book and provides a space for conversation, reflection and application of the book. The journal is filled with over 80 pages of reflection topics to set intention for your day, a personal statement to help identify and pursue your passion, personal affirmations to empower and motivate, and bonus resources to help shift your mindset and embrace your greatness.
Placing an importance of giving back to our community and Miller and Moreland partnered with The Black Burdell to assist in funding aspiring entrepreneurs to make their dreams a reality. A percentage of each book sold will be donated to The Black Burdell, a 501c3 nonprofit that focuses on promoting, supporting, and cultivating young, black entrepreneurs!
