50 Shades of Black is a video series campaign set out to tell the stories of everyday black people in the Dallas Fort Worth area through short interview videos released daily on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/DentonBlackFilmFestival , for the duration of the campaign leading up to the Denton Black Film Festival.
We want to provide a platform through which the stories of inspiring and positive figures in the DFW black community can be highlighted and celebrated, while creating awareness of and communicating the value which the Denton Black Film Festival brings to the community.
Nominees were selected by our social media audience. A selections committee chose fifty candidates from all submissions.
