Why did you name it Eat Greedi?
My partner, Dominique, came up with the name. I certainly didn’t like it at first. it sounded too amateur. However, when Dom broke it down, it made more since. Something that we learned very quickly is that people are very picky, and “Greedy” with their food. We spelled it with the “i” instead to make it more memorable, and to add a little flavor.
What influenced you to create this service ?
When I was a student at Florida A&M University. I worked as a part-time delivery driver for Doorstep Delivery, a similar restaurant delivery service in Tallahassee, FL. I was always interested into the operations of everything, and I thought it was such a great idea. I got with Dom one summer, and shared the idea with him. We thought it was a great idea to bring it to DFW
What has been some of the difficult things to launch this business ?
Staying laser-focused. What I mean by that, we had to accept the responsibility that we are going to run a professional service and everything that comes along with that. The reality was, we have competitors that literally have hundreds of employees. Whole departments for marketing, sales, accounting, HR, etc. We didn’t have that, it was just the two of us. So we had to consistently be sharp on all four corners in every aspect of the business. We couldn’t do a lot of partying, hanging out, and other stuff people our age were doing. We had to lock in.
Your advice for entrepreneurs?
Its all about mistakes and improvements. No matter what business you run, or endeavor you launch, there IS GOING TO be mistakes. Theres no running away from that. We meet a lot of people who are interested in getting their own things started, but they let their perfection lead to procrastination. Make the mistakes, and the improvements you make -based off of those mistakes- will get you as close to perfection as you will ever be. Get it going right now!

Beyond blessed. We know the stats. Most startups and small businesses never see this milestone. It just makes us want to go 10 times harder, and turn this into something that really makes a difference on a large scale.
