The Tech Moves

New Christmas Entertainment for 2017

You’ve probably got your Christmas favorites when it comes to music, movies, and more. Whether you love Nat King Cole and Miracle on 34th Street or you more of a fan of Elf and Mariah Carey, a lot of us are pretty set in our ways for our Christmas entertainment. But there’s always the chance to try something new, like these movies, music and TV options for 2017.

Christmas Music

Of all entertainment, Christmas music is the one you can often find most of. This year, you can find Christmas tunes from everyone from Sia, Hanson and Smokey Robinson to American Idol winner Fantasia, Gwen Stefani and, of course, Josh Groban.

Christmas Streaming

A move at your local theater is fun, but sometimes you just want to stay in. And with lots of Christmas streaming on offer, on Netflix, Hulu, and more, you can do just that. There’s Netflix original A Christmas Prince if you’re looking for something schmaltzy and so-bad-it’s-good. And there’s another one coming, called Christmas Inheritance. If you’re a fan of Sense8, they’re making a comeback for a one-off Christmas special too. Netflix has plenty of other movies too, from Bad Santa to The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Christmas Movies

What if you want to get out to the theater? It is often the best way to see a movie, but not many of them are themed around Christmas. This year you’ll find a handful to pick from, including Daddy’s Home 2, animated The Star (about the animals from the nativity story), The Man Who Invented Christmas, and A Bad Moms Christmas. Or you can just stay home and fantasize about your dream Christmas movie, like this one dreamed up by Sunny.
