Hundreds gathered to honor the extraordinary achievements of notable African American men in the community at The Made Man Foundation’s Day of Service Celebration & Awards Reception presented by Wells Fargo and the National Urban League.The Made Man Foundation is a global initiative that recognizes men of color who champion philanthropy and are making a difference in their communities. The vision is to uplift & engage accountable male leadership for the under served by creating a sustainable socio-economic, gender & racially equitable society for our communities.The event day included mentoring young males, a scholarship presentation to students of Eagles Academy, a charity suit drive for young professionals and town hall discussion on the state of black men in America.
The celebrity star-studded red carpet reception celebrated Marc Morial, President, National Urban League; Ambassador Dr. Barfour Adjei-Barwuah, Ambassador of Ghana to the United States of America; Dr. Kingsley Lington Ighobor, Acting Managing Editor, Africa Renewal UN Department of Public Information; Paxton Baker, Chairman, United States Congressional Award Foundation; Councilmember Robert Cornegy, (D-NY) District 36; Karrin E. Wilkes, Interim President of the Borough of Manhattan Community College; and Jason Martin, CMC, Managing Director, MCCGUSA LTD, Arvo Realty Advisors along with over 60 celebrities, dignitaries, and influencers who have made immeasurable contributions to the New York area.
Visionary & Founder, Ky Dele received citations of acknowledgement from Congressman Hakeem Jeffries(D-NY) as well as a proclamation from the City of New York from Congresswoman Yvette Clark (D-NY).
