Raheem Devaughn’s pampers the ladies as a “Queen for a Day”
SOULFUL singer Raheem Devaughn brings more than his music on the road city-to-city, he also brings his purpose.
On Saturday, November 7th twenty-five women were selected for the LoveLife Foundation “Queens for a Day” event at the cute and quaint black owned Koffee Day Spa in downtown Dallas. These twenty-five women are survivors of an often unspoken crime of domestic violence. The LoveLife Foundation in partnership with Councilwoman Tiffany Young (District 7) and several area shelters and organizations to honor these strong women and empower to tell their story to help someone else. All of the women were treated to a facial and back, hand, and foot massage.
LoveLife’s mission is to improve lives through social development, education, and health and wellness by collaborating with community organizations and foundations to raise awareness and tackle issues that affect our communities.
Raheem’s message to women was that their life matters and staying quiet does more hurt than good. He also mentioned that domestic abuse for all is not acceptable – including men and children. Love yourself enough to get out of those situations. LOVE LIFE.
