Learn how “America’s Team” manages its social media presence, and hear how to land a job in sports social.

This presentation will take you through the beginning days of the Dallas Cowboys social media department which was started from scratch by Shannon Gross. He will walk you through the evolution to current day strategy and execution. Taylor Stern has also been on the team for over a year now. She will highlight how she obtained her current position and how her role has rapidly changed over the year that she’s been with the team.

After this meeting, attendees will …

Know What’s on the horizon for sports teams in the social media landscape;

Know how the Dallas Cowboys’ strategy has changed over the history of the department;

Learn the steps Taylor took to land a job in Sports Social Media.

Speakers:
Shannon Gross, @Shannon_PG, is the Social Media Strategist for the Dallas Cowboys Football Club and DCC, and he is a contributor to CowBuzz on dallascowboys.com.

Taylor Stern, @TayStern, is the team’s Social Media Coordinator.

Together, Shannon and Taylor are the social media tag-team duo for the Dallas Cowboys. Shannon focuses on the overall strategy for the Cowboys while Taylor is involved in the day-to-day execution and content creation. Together they hope to conquer the sports media world.
