HIIT DALLAS | A New Fitness Class to Hit The City

 

 

What do you get when you mix trap music, top fitness trainers, neon lights, and a high intensity workout?!?! You get HIIT DALLAS! HIIT Dallas is the latest new workout class to hit the city and it is making major waves!

I had the pleasure of attending the first class at IQ Haus and upon arrival, the first 25 guest received a free neon printed T shirt. I then walked into a neon light filled room full of fitness enthusiast glowing throughout. DJ Feast was spinning some of the latest hip hop hits and kept the vibes just right through each phase of the workout.

From Future to 2Chainz, the blend of top 40 hip hop hits made the class contemporary and refreshing.  The class was led by Personal Fitness Trainers Josh Hicks of 3Hunnid Fitness, Coach Markeith Day, and Coach Danny Mason Jr of Motivation By Mason. The concept was brought to life by entrepreneur Rich Mendoza who after training with Coach Danny, realized that Dallas need an upbeat, high energy, training class.

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT Training is a cardio workout that alternates short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense, short recovery periods. This means major calories burned in an hour-long session that will help you be #Goals for the rest of summer. The class started with a track style warm up consisting of several variations of high knees, skips, and pulls. The class shifted from Coach to Coach as each presented their own variation of HIIT exercises for an entire hour. We then had an active cool down and concluded the class in prayer, which I found to be motivating and uplifting after a solid workout. Did I mention we were treated to complimentary organic smoothie bowls to replenish?!

The class was not only lit, but it was a fantastic way to meet new people and socialize with people who share the same likeminded views of fitness. The next class is this Thursday at IQ Haus. It is $15 a class and only $10 if you bring a friend. All you need is a great attitude, a love of trap music, and an eagerness to look as lit as you will feel! They will have merchandise for sale and complementary smoothies again at the conclusion of the workout.
