The Best Foundations For Every Budget

By : Talia Clack

Here are the best foundations with ACTUAL shade ranges for every budget

1.Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation (Walgreens, $7.99)

Maybelline’s Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation has been a favorite amongst women of color for a while a now and it’s pretty clear why. With 40 shades, you’re bound to find your perfect match. Add to that a lightweight, oil-controlling formula and you’ve got the perfect foundation for a flawless finish.

2.Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation (Walmart, $4.68)

No one wants it to be obvious that they’re wearing makeup, which is why Wet n Wild developed this light diffusing foundation for a no-makeup feel. Tested under seven different photo lighting conditions, such as night club light, bathroom light and clear, sunny outdoor light, the light-adjusting complex helps prevent a white cast in photos. You’ll get a perfect selfie every time.

Mid End ($30-$50)

3.Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation (Sephora, $43)

This foundation is an Allure Reader’s Choice winner and it’s easy to see why. With 40 shades, medium-to-buildable coverage and a lightweight feel, this foundation can’t be beat. Designed for all day wear, hyaluronic acid ensures a comfortable feel, regardless of skin type.

4. Black Up Matifying Fluid Foundation (Sephora, $41.50)

For those who don’t know, Black Up is an upscale, French beauty brand that makes products specifically for women of color. So rest assured, you’ll find the shade that’s perfect for you. Offering a matte finish, eight hour wear and medium coverage, this is one amazing foundation for brown girls. And, for under $50, it’s a steal.

5.Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation (Sephora, $34)

So this foundation has been flying off Sephora shelves, and for good reason. It instantly smooths skin, minimizes the appearance of pores and controls shine. Plus, the climate-adaptive technology makes this foundation resistant to sweat and humidity so you won’t have to worry about touch ups. I am in shade 360.

6.Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (Nordstrom, $64)

Now, I know the price is pretty scary, but hear me out. There is a reason this foundation is a favorite amongst makeup artists and celebrities. What I love about this foundation is that it literally looks like your skin, only better. With its sheer-to-buildable coverage, you can get exactly the look you want. Plus, it leaves a radiant finish, giving your skin a healthy look and feel. I am in shade 8.

7.Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation (Nordstrom, $47)

I know this foundation doesn’t hit the $50 mark, but hey, Lancôme decided to give us a break with this one. This foundation claims to last a whole 24 hours. The longest I, personally, have worn this foundation is 12 hours BUT I will say it did look exactly the same as when I put in on. It gives you a beautiful, healthy glow, plus it’s oil free so it won’t clog your pores. I am in shade 435 Bisque W.
