4 Great Summer Activities For Adrenaline Junkies

After what seems like an endless winter, it looks like the good weather is finally on its way. The days of sitting inside wishing you could get out there and do something are over. When the summer comes, you might want to spend your days laying around in the sun relaxing or perhaps you’d rather do something a bit more exciting. If you really want to make the most of the summer months and you’re a bit of a thrillseeker, why not try some of these great activities this year?

Stunt Jumps

Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to dive off a building in a blaze of glory like they do in action movies? Well, now you can do it for yourself. There are some great climbing centers where you can perform a free fall stunt jump just like the movie professionals. You can throw yourself from a 3.3 metre platform or if you’re feeling particularly daring, the 7 metre platform, onto a specially designed crash mat. All of the right safety measures are in place, of course, so you can enjoy the thrill of a freefall without worrying about getting hurt.

Downhill mountain biking is a great way to get that adrenaline rush you’re looking for and enjoy being out in nature at the same time. It’s a pretty technical sport and it takes a while to pick up but once you’ve found your feet, you’ll be speeding down steep hills on your bike and dodging around obstacles like a pro. For first timers, it’s best to go to a dedicated course where professionals can help you learn how to conquer those steep inclines without injuring yourself.

White Water Rafting

When the sun gets a bit much you might decide to cool off by having a swim. Alternatively, you could cool off by jumping into a boat and getting thrown around a choppy river. White water rafting is an amazing thrill ride that takes you through some of the most beautiful natural features on your way down. If you’re worried about getting thrown out, there are beginners boats that are near impossible to flip so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. If there isn’t a real river anywhere nearby for you to go rafting in, you can usually find an activities center that has a fake one set up. The surroundings aren’t quite the same but it’s still great fun.

Paragliding

Skydiving is probably the ultimate activity for adrenaline junkies but it’s pretty extreme and it’ll cost you a lot. But if you still want to take to the skies, try paragliding instead. You’ll be strapped to a giant parachute that launches you into the sky. Normal paragliding is a fairly relaxing experience where you can enjoy the view below. But if you want to be thrown about and pull some tricks, try the more extreme Acro paragliding instead.

Don’t spend your summer sitting around doing nothing, get out there and try some of these amazing activities instead.
