FIRST LOOK: TRAILER FOR SERENA WILLIAMS DOCUMENTARY ‘SERENA’

Serena Williams‘ legendary career will be front and center in an upcoming documentary titled, “Serena: The Other Side of Greatness.”

The project sees the 34-year-old tennis champion narrate her journey, delving deeper into her life both on and off the court.

In a trailer, Williams addresses the naysayers who said she wasn’t good enough.
“I’ve had people put me down because I didn’t look like them…I look stronger,” Williams says. “I’ve had people look passed me because the color of my skin. I’ve had people overlook me because I was a woman.

“I had critics say I was never going to win another grand slam when I was only at number seven, and now here I stand today with 21 grand slam titles…and I’m still going,” she adds.

In the short clip, Williams vows to continue playing the game of tennis on her terms.

“I will play and I will fight,” she says, “and when I feel that I’m done then I’ll be done.”

Serena premieres June 22nd.
