Serena Williams‘ legendary career will be front and center in an upcoming documentary titled, “Serena: The Other Side of Greatness.”
The project sees the 34-year-old tennis champion narrate her journey, delving deeper into her life both on and off the court.
In a trailer, Williams addresses the naysayers who said she wasn’t good enough.
“I’ve had people put me down because I didn’t look like them…I look stronger,” Williams says. “I’ve had people look passed me because the color of my skin. I’ve had people overlook me because I was a woman.
In the short clip, Williams vows to continue playing the game of tennis on her terms.
“I will play and I will fight,” she says, “and when I feel that I’m done then I’ll be done.”
Serena premieres June 22nd.
