The Soul Train Awards will celebrate their 29th airing next month with none other than R&B singer and performer Erykah Badu hosting the program. The taping will take place November 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and the show will air November 29 on BET and Centric.
The Soul Train Awards will be honoring Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds with the Legend Award and Jill Scott with the Lady of Soul Award. Scott recently received her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Woman.
Badu is no stranger to the Soul Train Awards, having won three trophies herself in the late ’90s and performed onstage back in 2010. At this year’s ceremony, the “Bag Lady” singer will help salute today’s brightest stars and R&B legends.
