[Dallas, TX – November 3rd]
The latest Spike Lee joint is called CHI-RAQ, a modern day re-imagining of the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata set in inner-city Chicago. After the murder of a child by a stray bullet, a group of women led by Lysistrata organize against the on-going violence in Chicago’s Southside creating a movement that challenges the nature of race, sex and violence in America and around the world.
The film, which marks the first production from Amazon Original Movies, will premiere in theaters and online on December 4th. In anticipation, the first trailer has been released. Watch below..
