6 Exercises that Burn Stomach Fat Fast

By: Barry White

When in the process of losing weight, everyone wants to deal with it fast and permanently. Unfortunately, almost all diets and treatments that make this type of proposition fail to deliver. Most times, the result is even worse, meaning that all sorts of so-called miracle pills and ill-conceived dietary plans will leave a person not only disappointed, but unhealthier.

There are exceptions, of course, like the HCG diet some would say, where proponents swear by the effectiveness of HCG injections. This is not the only workaround method for fast sliming, but it’s been gaining more and more popularity over the last couple of years. But taking HCG injections or other types of HCG oral products, even when combined with the recommended diet, like any other non-traditional way of losing that unwanted weight, is just a workaround. Because of their busy lives and various preoccupations, people will often choose these workarounds instead of truly committing to themselves and to a fulfilling healthy lifestyle.

Our struggle with weight can always be won if we just choose to change lifestyles, and do it for good. And while it is hard to make something you don’t enjoy part of your daily routine, practice does make perfect, and our bodies are highly adaptable, as is our mindset.

This being said, and taking into account that the major issue with extra weight for most people is belly fat, let’s review 6 types of exercises that are sure to burn out stomach fat fast.

Running or walking

Running and walking are major calorie-burning activities. Running burns fat at high rates, and is very effective in dealing with extra stomach weight. While walking cannot be compared to running when we look at the time spend doing the activity and the number of calories burned, both are great methods to lose fat from the belly area.

Vertical leg crunch

Working the abs in various forms is always a good idea. Vertical leg crunches are a great way of accelerating the sliming process in the abdominal area.

The steps you need to take in order to perform a correct vertical leg crunch:

  • Laying on the floor, and placing your hands behind your head
  • Putting your legs straight up, and crossing your knees
  • Lifting your head and shoulders while flexing the abs
  • Laying back on the floor
  • Maintaining your legs up throughout the exercise
  • Exhaling when you flex, and inhaling when you lay back down
  • Doing between 1 and 3 sets of 12-16 repetitions each

Reverse crunch

The reverse crunch is another great way of putting those abs to good use.

Correct reverse crunches are done as such:

  • Laying on the floor, and placing your arms on your sides
  • Crossing your knees, and lifting them up from the floor so that your knees form a 90-degree angle
  • Flexing your abs, and lifting your head and shoulders from the floor
  • Exhaling when you flex, and inhaling when you lay back down
  • Doing between 1 and 3 sets of 12-16 repetitions each

The bicycle exercise

The bicycle exercise occupies first position in the list of best ab exercises. And for good reason!

As part of your workout routine, the bicycle exercise is very important in strengthening the musculature of the abdomen by challenging the targeted muscles to activity that is more diverse.

Exercise ball crunch

The exercise ball crunch, much like the bicycle exercise, has to do with stabilization and more muscle activity.

Once you have an exercise ball, this is what needs to be done:

  • Laying on the ball in a manner in which you have support for your lower back, and your feet are strongly grounded on the floor
  • Placing your hands over your chest or behind your head
  • Flexing the abs, and lifting your torso up and forward
  • Lowering the back
  • Exhaling when you flex, and inhaling when you lay back down
  • Doing between 1 and 3 sets of 12-16 repetitions each

Elliptical trainer

Either at home or at the gym, the elliptical trainer is a great choice for those who aren’t extremely confident when it comes to their joints.

The elliptical trainer can provide a great workout session, with results equal to those you get from running in terms of number of calories burnt.

As you can see, there are multiple good exercises that will definitely help with burning belly fat fast.

Integrate any of these in your exercise routine, combine with healthy foods that don’t exceed your daily recommended calorie intake, and with healthy sleep patterns. It is the simplest and most honest way for you to get fit and stay fit.
