How To Increase Your Twitter Followers in 2019

OK, we know what you’re thinking. Increasing your follower count on Twitter? Who’s even interested in how many followers you have, anyway? But hear us out here. Having more followers on Twitter could help your business to succeed as it should, and it gives you a far greater reach, especially if you’re a freelancer. And doesn’t that all sound great? Whatever reason you have for wanting to up your follower count, there are a few ways that you can go about it if you want to do so, and we’ve noted them down here.

Collaborate with people

Collaborating with as many people as you can (well, not too many) could really help you to pick up some more followers on Twitter, especially if you get into contact with people who have similar interests to you. Think about it: if you can get a post out to an audience of people who are interested in what you do, wouldn’t it help you to secure a few more followers? If you’re into a sport like golf, like the owner of this Twitter account, then boost your following by getting in touch with other people in the golf community, and sharing ideas and stories. Even if they put out one tweet about how great you are, you’ll have people super interested in your account.

Post regularly

One of the most important things that you can do to improve your Twitter presence, and your online presence as a whole, is to post regularly. Whilst you shouldn’t just be churning out tweets that nobody wants to read, make sure that you post a tweet every other day at least, so that you really establish yourself as part of an online community. Be cautious here, as you don’t want to end up tweeting something that would offend a lot of people, or cause others to lose interest in your account. Keep it lighthearted, but don’t be afraid to say what’s on your mind. People like genuine opinions, but not if they’re too heavily loaded.

Pin a great tweet

When people come onto your account to follow you, they’re going to see a few things: your photo and your bio, and the tweet at the top of your page. Whilst it’s super important to use a good, professional photograph and bio, you should also find out a tweet that pulls people in, and makes them want to follow you. Perhaps you can pin the tweet that a lot of people liked and retweeted? Whatever it is that you decide to do, don’t underestimate the importance of this part of your profile. It will show people who you really are, and you only have a few seconds to convince them that you’re worth following. Make it count!

So, if you want to increase your follower count on Twitter, then make sure that you follow (ahem…) these simple tips! From collaborating with people, to posting regularly and pinning a great tweet, there are plenty of ways to draw in the Twitter crowd, and to make your mark on the online community that you care about.
