Obama Mic Drop During WH Dinner is the Similar to Kobe Bryant’s Mic Drop

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. If President Obamawanted to, he could be a stand up comedian without missing a beat.

All that to say that once again he was in top form as Comedian in Chief Saturday night at his final appearance at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

If you missed it, the Prez went in on the Republican Party, including when he told GOP party leader Reince Priebus this gem:

“It’s good to see you’ve earned a night off. The Republican Party, the nomination process, it’s going great. Keep it up.”

Obama also had fun at the expense of Bernie Sanders, who was in attendance, when he said:

“Bernie, you look like a million bucks. To put it in terms you’ll understand, you look like 37,000 donations of $27 each.”

Meanwhile, Wilmore, who unfortunately followed the president, decided he was going to spend his time mocking the media. We’re not sure why he chose that path since the majority of the audience were from the press. For his effort, he generated more than a few groans, but to be fair, he also got some big laughs.

Here’s one that worked pretty good for the comedian. He called out the hosts of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” for the constant attention they pay to Donald Trump. He said:

“‘Morning Joe’ has their head so far up Trump’s ass they bumped into Chris Christie.”

Yeah, not bad, Not bad, Mr. Wilmore.

OK, here check out some more jokes form Obama and Wilmore:

–“While in England I did have lunch with her majesty, the Queen, took in a performance of Shakespeare, hit the links with David Cameron. In case anyone is still deabting if I’m black enough, that settles the debate” –Obama

–“Savannah Guthrie left the White House Press Corps to join ‘The Today Show.’ Norah O’Donnell left to join ‘CBS This Morning.’ And Jake Tapper left journalism to join CNN” –Obama
