2.Romance in Durango

Without taking a trip to Durango, you might not even be able to say you truly saw Colorado at all. One of the most beautiful landscapes that the state has to offer, Durango is the perfect place for an intimate getaway with your partner. Arguably the best place to experience the city’s beauty is on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. This traditional steam train has been in operation since 1882. You’ll be able to enjoy the sights of Durango while traveling on the very same railroad traveled by the old West pioneers. There’s no better way to get into the old west spirit.

3,Have a drink!

Colorado has a, frankly, exceptional reputation for brewing. It produces more barrels of beer every year than any other state. But it’s not just about quantity; it’s about quality. Colorado boasts some of the USA’s finest craft breweries. You can enjoy fascinating tours of the breweries themselves, such as the fabulous Pug Ryan’s Brewery. There the tour even lets you sample some delicious summit county craft brews.

For those of you uninterested in beer and Cowboys, how about something a little more cultured. Colorado offers a whole host of activities ranging from galleries to performances. The Denver Art Museum, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver will scratch that fine arts itch any day. If you’re more interested in the performing arts, then you won’t want to miss Boulder’s annual Shakespeare Festival. A long-running event that explores The Bard’s work in new and innovative ways.
